The last home games of the season bring the Chicklets the M-Stars as guests. In the past, games of those two teams were always good of hot-fought softballbattles and it should not be different this time. As expected, in game 1 Verena Ponweiser and Carla Langthaler face each other. The host-team can get in the first run, but an inning later, the M-Stars use the strengths of their offensive department and take a 5-1 lead. Right back as an answer, the chicklets also get their bats going strong and make the game even at 5-5. After that, an open exchange of blows develops. When the Chicklets have a 2 run lead in the 7th inning, they can not be denied the victory and make the final score 11-9. Not only a satisfactory score for the home team, but also a good debut for a long-cherished dream of the softball team in Wiener Neustadt: an electronic scoreboard, which is another step in the expansion of Ducksfields.
In game 2, the hometeam can not connect right where they left off in game 1. A 3-run deficit is on the scoreboard after the first inning and should stay there until the last inning. Occasional hits of the Chicklets do not put enough pressure on the pitching of the M-Stars. Different in the 7th inning: walks and hits bring runners on base and suddenly Nicole Thomas feels the pressure and has to accept the first run of the Chicklets. With bases loaded the girls in the red jerseys are only one hit shy from a comeback-win, but finally this time the M-Stars have the routine to make the last outs and get the victory with the final score 3-1.
